• Meet Melinda

    Amazon Bar Raiser & Journalism Graduate.  Melinda spent over a decade in Amazon product marketing and development. As a designated Document Bar Raiser and creator of writing workshops for her teams, she honed her craft inside one of the most intense, narrative-driven corporate writing cultures in the world. She graduated from University of Minnesota’s School of Journalism.

    From Food Journalism & Tech to Fiction Craft. Before her decade at Amazon, Melinda began her writing career as a freelance food journalist. Returning to those creative roots, she now studies mystery plot architecture under bestselling authors – approaching the craft with the same disciplined rigor as news articles and tech documents.

    Current Project. Today, Melinda lives in the Pacific Northwest, raising three children and writing her debut novel – a 1920s historical cozy mystery set in a coastal Scandinavian town in Washington.
